Description: Onychothemis testacea is a medium-sized dragonfly with bottle-green eyes. Its thorax is dark metallic-blue, marked with citron-yellow. The abdomen is black, adorned with citron-yellow markings. Each abdominal segment has distinct patterns, including triangular and diamond-shaped spots. The anal appendages are black. Interestingly, the female is similar in appearance to the male.
Habitat: This dragonfly breeds in forest streams or at their margins. It is a fast-flying species found near forested streams. Males often perch on dry twigs or other vantage points over streams, aggressively defending their territory against other dragonflies
